This activity will assess the expected benefits from the measurement data currently foreseen to be provided by a dedicated space weather mission to L5 in the CME propagation monitoring and the arrival time forecasting. The benefits of multi-point remote sensing of solar and heliospheric phenomena as applied to space weather forecasting shall be analysed and demonstrated. The expected accuracyimprovement of CME arrival times and predicted CME characteristics shall be demonstrated and quantified as far as possible, based on currently existing models and real/simulated data as available. The expected benefits shall be demonstrated by means of existingmodels and real/simulated data. Requirements for heliospheric model development in order to optimally utilise data from multiple vantage points for the purpose of space weather forecasting shall be produced.
